Puppy mills!
Puppy mills are facilities or places where people breed dogs for profit and don’t care about the welfare of the animal.
These dogs are living in horrible conditions. They are often sick, underweight and living into small, chicken wired Kennels.
There are more than 4000 puppy mills in the United States, and they produce more than half million puppies a year.
Licensed Kennels may have inspections routinely.
Backyard Breeders are the once they do the same just on a smaller scale.
The female dogs often get bred every time they are in heat to make more money. Moreover, the puppies get taking away from their mother at age 5-6 weeks and not at 8-10 weeks like it is supposed to be.
The small puppies get stuffed into a box, and a broker travels with them all over to different stores to sell them!
The most of the puppies die before they even get to the store from stress and exhaustion due to the traveling.
The dogs at the puppy mills live in overcrowded and dirty conditions.
Without medical cars, water, food and contact with anyone. These dogs have no exercise, grooming, and the cages are too small and with wired flooring.
The dogs have injured on their legs and paws. Alternatively, been stacked up.
These Dogs spend their whole life in Cages inside or outside in every weather condition without any cover. The most of the dogs only reach the age of 4 years. Then the Breeders kill the dogs or get in touch with a rescue to take the dog.
It takes one year or longer after these dogs are adopted to feel relaxed around humans and been touched.
